So this blog has been a flop. No one posts, including myself, I am fatter than ever and I wouldn't say I have been hearing reports of joy from any other family members for loosing weight.
So for now goodbye, I will however note that I am trying to get on the bandwagon especially due to the upcoming trip to Cali in october for my cousins wedding, pluss I am tried of feeling TIRED and all around feeling like CRAP.

JoJo-regarding your request for childhood meals
Ok here are some of the dishes I remember having a a child:
Tacos, EGGROLLS :), scones, in the electric frypan mom would ground up meat with slices of carrot and cubed potatoes, hamburgerpatties with some kinda sauce made with cream of celery soup- I remember I really liked it back when I used to eat beef, ricepudding, fruitsalad always with whip cream, sloppy joes on english muffins with cheese melted on top, Thats about all I can think of right now.

Happy Seis de Mayo
So I probably spelled 6 wrong but you get the idea. Thanks for the blog JoJo, I felt so alone. :-) I don't know any recipes, but I will make sure Julie reads your blog and gets you something. I do agree with Brandon on the cheese rice, its a little different, but I too love the heritage chicken. It may not be a recipe from when you were young, but get some Jamaican Jerk seasoning and rub it into some pork chops and fry them in coconut oil. mmmmmmmmmmmmm, its good.
Things going good here. I've only lost 2 lbs but i am maintaining it. I just have a bad habit of snacking late at night, oh well. I am finally getting in shape a little, I hit 2.8 miles in 35 min on the elliptical and finally burned more than 500 calories. I was happy as that was a goal for me, now I am shooting for 3 miles in 35 min. I'm also glad that I am overcoming my excuses for not working out at work, which has been hard. Today will be the 7th work day in a row that I have been to the gym. I still want to slim down a bit before I go to Kentucky so I look a little good at least.
I wish I could see everybody in AZ, but I am hoping to make at least a short trip to CA this summer and then a longer one in September or so. Everybody be good.

Happy Hump Day
Ok so we are halfway through this week. Yay!!! So here's the deal for yesterday.
Food: shake, tea, water, cranberry juice, lettuce wraps, Denny's breakfast - bacon, eggs, hashbrowns and pancakes, and probably something I forgot.
Exercise: down 8 flights of stairs and 30 min on the elliptical.
The work outs aren't wiping me out as much and I am not sore the next day, so I guess I'm getting in better shape. I would like to take off 10-15 lbs so I look good when I go to Kentucky. Then I can try to take off the rest before we hit the beaches in SoCal this summer, and the weather better not suck this time.

Hello, anybody there?
Soon the only posts showing will be from me. :-( Anyway, for food yesterday shake, water, tea, 100 cal snack pack, pork chop, mashed taters, carrots, milk, lettuce wraps, dry cereal, fried rice and I think that is about it. I'm sure there were some snacks in there somewhere. For exercise I did 35 min on the elliptical, walked down 8 flights of stairs, and helped Julie try to make our white trash looking lawn look more cared for. Hang in there everybody. Somtimes life sucks and you have to push through it. Been there, done that and still bloody pushing through it. I love you guys, you have always been there for Julie, Jamison and I and we really appreciate it.
Also, still no word from Michaels cake decorating class. I don't like them anymore.

It's me again
So, it seems like this is becoming the Terry blog. Where is everybody??? Anyway, yesterday was a pretty good day had my shake, water, herbal tea, 100 cal snack pack, chocolate, 2 or 3 glasses of juice, some really good tortilla soup and a couple tomales for dinner and later some cereal for midnight snack. I was able to hit the elliptical for 35 min too, which is good because it freakin snowed yesterday and was too cold for me to take Jamison out for our walk. I want spring back, it dropped like 40+ degrees. Anyway after being stressed about the weekend and Monday it ended up that I only gained 1/4 lb so that isn't too bad. My goal for the week is to drop a couple more pounds and to keep up exercising every day, whether it is in the gym at work or walking at home.

Happy Tax Day
Yesterday was not a good food day...As normal I had my shake, much water, mint tea (herbal), somebody brought little chocolate rocks from Pier 39 (something like that), they called my name all day and I just couldn't resist grabbing a couple each time I walked by. I also ate tater cassarole, a fruit desert, cinnabon cake, a few chips, pasta salad and vegetarian lasagna that was for lunch, but just small portions. For dinner had breakfast, scrambled eggs with ham and french toast with home made strawberry topping. I didn't go to the gym due to the luncheon thingy, but I did go walking with Jamison while Julie went to the gym and we did about 1.5 - 2 miles about half of that up hill. So not the best day but it could have been worse, maybe. Anyway, I am afraid when I go to the gym today I will have found the couple pounds I lost last week.

YAY!!!
Ok, so I lost a couple pounds this week. Pants are still tight around the waist,but hopefully that will improve. Yesterday I had my shake, a lot of water, 1 - 100 cal snack bag, mac&cheese with tuna, chicken with pasta, salad, milk, 1-100 cal popcorn, and cheese nibs. I think that is all I ate. I walked down 8 flights of stairs and spent 30 min on the elliptical. I am going to try to not snack too much today as I will not be exercising because of my back. I am hoping to get to go and walk somewhere with the fam tomorrow, weather permitting.

So I just realized i've been substituting other junk for cupcakes. I'm a srait up crack head .......I worked out a little yesterday, crunches, but stuff you know. I felt it a little this mrng. I have not been eating all my food at school. And on mon I turned down bacon wrapped hotdogs from another class, that was hard. So at night if i'm really hungry i'll eat a bowl of cereal. Ok, I am tired this morning. I started coming to work at 6am so I can take an hour lunch to work out. Yesterday to eat I had my shake, water, rice casserole w/ pork for lunch, for dinner did rice w/ chicken and ensalada, I also squeezed in some chocolate chips and a handful of toffee chips. I can't think of anything else I ate. I biked for 30 min and then did cool down on treadmill for 5 min., later I played guitar hero for a little bit - that's exercise too right, i was sweating. I don't care to put my weight up, my goal weight is 160 and I am currently 187.

Wowzers!
Runnning late for work...I brought home cupcakes last night and ended up throwing them out after starting to pick....so that was better than worse :) I've been taking the staris at work inthe parking garage... :) I've been fighting the pizza crave :) Terry why are you eating shakes? And that about does it for my spanish... Anyway, I really love my shakes they seem to be working good and I have been eating lunch because i'm afraid Julie would be mad if I didn't. My appetite has decreased a lot during the day at work, but is still there at home, but I need some nutrition so it is good that I am hungry where there is healthy food to eat. I had my shake, a butt load of water, 1 of those dove dark chocolate squares (its for the antioxidants I swear ;-) , a serving of salmon, broccoli, mashed taters, 1 roll of fruit by the foot, salad, mac and cheese w/ chicken, more mashed taters, and about 10 cookies or so. I couldn't help it Julie made some really yummy coconut ones. Best news of the day, not even one mountain dew. YAY!!!

Ok, so I am trying to remember to update the blog every once in a while. I had a decent day yesterday if you take away the 2 mountain dews and cheeseburger. So what I hade yesterday for my intake was my Attain shake with "crave blocker" which I think actually works because I wasn't very hungry all day, but about 1pm I realized I would be in trouble if I didn't eat something before I got home. This is where one mtn dew and the cheeseburger came into play. The other mtn dew was an attempt to stay awake during our meetings. I forgot my boss brought in donuts so I had one of those too and fought the temptation of another one. Then I ate a bunch of mashed taters that Julie made along with broccoli and meatloaf. That is the extent of what I ate yesterday, for exercise I evacuated the building cause they thought it was on fire which required me to go down 7 flights of stairs and then back up again when they said it was just a burnt belt in the AC system. We did also walk to the church and back and that was maybe 100 yards or so. Some day I will start going to the gym at lunch again. Thats all for me.

torturing my kids at th gym
OKy so almost a week of no gym, because the kids have all been sick. Eric seems to be getting better, but Ethan is heartbroken everytime. I feel like I am being so heartless to him. But I go into class, and push as hard as I can reminding myself that I have to do this to be a better mom for him. This week has been hard with everyone being sick. But we have still been eating pretty good. But tonight I ate to many sweets. I think that it's the one week of the month I get too munchy, if you know what I mean.
I have had some yummy things for dinner. I will put some receipes on when I get a chance. I am really sick. and I think my ear infection is spreading to the other ear. It makes me worry that we
have all been so sick. Even Andrew is exhausted and his backs messed up. I feel so helpless when I can't fix my people. Hopefully the boys get better, and Elizabeth stays healthy.
Oh Andrew bought us new socks, that makes it fun to get dressed to work out.
And also we are trying to bump dinner up to 5:00 so that we eat earlier, and do something active between dinner and bed. Try eating earlier, it feels better.

Finally I can Log in!!
Ok so I have five minutes to log here. I did it. I joined a gym. I am spending money I don't have on yet another attempt to work out. Tiffany isn't training me anymore. So I needed to do something.The boys hate it. And Ironically after taking them only one week, they both are sick this weekend. I feel terrible about it. But I remind myself that I have to do this for them as much as for myself. I will keep trying to go, and hopefully they'll get use to it. If they scream for 10 minutes they come get you out of class. I have been doing Rpm it's the cycling class. It's a killer workout, I really sweat and lose my breath. But it's the best cardio with low impact on all my joints. It can really hurt to jump around with all this weight on! So wish me luck as I press forward!
Jake have you started the gym with Nappy? Jenna what did you commit to as your one thing to do for the day? You had suggested that awhile ago.
Julie you're not alone!! We will be hot mom's at storytime, if we GO TO THE GYM!!!!!

Where is everyone?!?!?!?!
Well it has been a long while sence we have heard from anyone. I know things have been busy with some family drama and the holiday. However we must remain focused on the task at hand, getting healthy and supporting each other through any means possible including THIS BLOG.
So I'll start us off with an update. The gym had been going pretty good. I was even starting to finally see some results. But with Easter and the trip to Idaho I haven"t been to the gym for about a week. I had been doing good food wise but again Easter hit a little hard, to much sugar. So I'm hoping back on track. I can't get to the gym today because some Idaho family is coming to town and we have plans including a pizza night, so I will have to make alternative eating plans for that.
Can't look back must look forward! Yeas like to summer. All I can think about is that Lagoon annual pass I have to getand that bathing suit required to go there. AHHHHHHHH.

Well it was good to hear from you again.
Ok so the gym is still going, I was sad when I weighed myself there yesterday, no change! Oh well, will just keep trying. We are making a hard effort to eat healthy, I was SO happy to find out that Smiths is now carrying my LOW CARB pasta!!!!! It is a little pricey but worth it. We are doing a lot of salad and veggies. Terrys body is rejecting the salad, figures he finally has started to like it and the lower GI tract doesn't. I am getting a bit burned out on chicken.
Anyways time to clean my kitchen. Night, night

well monday brandon and I went on the house trail at the rose bowl and walked it and then we ran and walked a little the rose bowl. I ate okay the past couple of days. Meow.... meow .....meow.....
Greetings from Huki and P-diddy.So I tried lamb for the first time on sat. I also ate my eggs florentine w/hollandaise sauce , FYI- Hollandaise is basically butter......and butter.....good, but not good for you. So I have not been eating very good and I need to start up again. I literally have to to have enough energy to last the day. Crazy how food does that. Not much else to report. Here's a recipe for a great balsamic vngrt to marinade veggies in for grilling, seriously I thought it was so good.
1 oz. shallot-minced 2 ozs. balsamic vngr
1/2 oz.garlic clove-pasted 6 ozs. olive oil
1 tsp dijon mustard *salt y pepper( for seasoning)
1/2 tsp. sgr 1tb parsley-chopped
1/4 tsp thyme
Set aside olive oil y thyme. Whisk everything else up in a bowl. Slowly drizzle in oil to desired consistancy. Season.Add parsely, whisk once more.Done
We also made Bruschetta and tossed our tomatoes in this before assembling the bruschetta, It was so bomb diggity.
Also w/the veggies ,after they're sliced you can lay them out and salt them, then let them sit in th fridge about 20 mins ,whatever and them marinade them. The salt allows the veggies to accept the marinade , more so, allowing more flavor to be soaked into your veggies. Then grill away.
Good luck to you all. Lets all commit to something like X amount of crunches a day. Even if it's only 50, whatever. Feed back in regards to this matter is appreciated.

Anyway the gym is going. The eating, could be better. It is better than it was, but still room for improvment. I just can't believe how big my stomach is. it is quite daunting. I am going to try to bet over to Borders to check out the Belly fat diet book. We'll see.

One week in.
Well I have been going to the gym for one week now. I didn't make it on Sat. however. The gym is going ok. I love the Cinema cardo room. We get to watch a movie in the dark while using the treadmill, bike, or elliptical. It is nice cause you can let everything flap around and no one can see cause it's dark and they have big old fans blowing, i really like it.
The eating isn't as good. Our dinners are going well, it's the day for me. I still have my toast and cheerios for breakfast, but lunch is a problem. Jamison is cutting a tooth again, Forth on top :), so he has to be glued to me at all times. So anyways I had a can of pork and beans and was still hungry so I had some pasta with Parmesan cheese. THAT"S TERRIBLE!!!!! Anyway I must just forge onward and try better. Why is it so expensive to be healthy. The government is so concerned with Americas growing obesity, then get the produce to us cheaper for one thing !! Crap I had to pay $1.80 for 1 head of red leaf lettuce!!! Anyway tha's all for now!!

Another day bites the dust
OK first JENNA stop signing "fat for life". I know you said they told you to NEVER turn down the food, but can you fake it by just taking a bite of everything? There has got to be a way.
Alright, Made it to the gym. I have decided to take Wed. and Sun. as my days "off" from working out. So far this week is going good. I do about an hour. 1/2 on the bike 1/2 on the treadmill. The eating is not as good. Today I had a total of 4 toasts , cheerios, small slice of lasagna, 1 Oriental top Ramon, and a totally awesome salad for dinner( Paco's taco ranch chicken salad)Perhaps not the healthiest, as it had some corn chips and the dressing is ranch mixed with salsa, but better than some of the other considerations I was entertaining. Oh yeah, and some sugar free vanilla pudding.

On the bone served all delicious, so tender I could cut it w/my fork, with caramalized onions, sauted spinach, & potatoe in this awesome sauce probably loaded w/butter. Finished off w/a chocolate brownie cake thing, not as good. But enough to finish the meal off. P.s I forgot about the homemade foccacia....Signed fat for life,

I didn't know what to put for my title. I am never going to lose wieght.
Day one at school. We are invited to eat dinner provided by the advanced class. Our chef warns us, never never never deny any thing they present to you to eat...ever. Fine, i'll just be fat forever. Salad w/a balsamic vinegaretette, Penne w/ sausage & eggplant, finished w/a pecan brownie w/a sauce of brw. sgr & butter poured over bananas. And a cup of water.
Day two at school. Oh what do you know we are invited to eat again. Romaine salad w/a citrus mint dressing. Pancetta, mushroom risotto (very heavy) and stwb shortcake w/whip cream. And a cup of water.
P.S we eat around 10pm at school.
I am trying to stick to cereal in the mrng, lean cuisine at lunch and something small before leaving to school, around 5ish. To tide me over. Exercise.. I park on the 5th level for school and take the stairs. And do my stretches every mrng. And I am still drinking all of my water and staying away from any other sgr loaded drinks. I think if I start reading my scriptures every day i'll start to lose wieght. I am going to start that tonight. I'll update my results in a week.

No Excersize again!!!
OkAY SO i THINK THAT 4 MONTHS AGO I WAS SO MENTALLY READY TO WORKOUT AND LOSE WEIGHT. JUST REALLY GET INTO BETTER SAPE. I REALLY HAD NO PROBLEM ACTUALLY ENJOYED EATING BETTER AND LEAVING ALL THE JUNK BEHIND. SO I THINK MY DRIVE IS STRUGGLING. TIFFANY IS NO LONGER TRAINING ME, AND I CAN NEVER FIND THE CHANCE TO WORK OUT!!!! ERIC SEEMS TO BE GETTING MORE AND MORE DEMANDING, AND I FEEL LIKE I AM NOT EATING AS WELL BECAUSE IN MY MIND I HAVE GIVEN UP ALREADY. I DON'T KNOW WHAT O DO TO REMODIVATE MYSELF. I MEAN WHY CAN'T I EXERCISE WHEN MY SON WON'T SIT IN A STROLLER, I DON'T EVEN GET A SHOWER AND I SLEP ONOLY FOUR HOURS LAST NIGHT?ANY SUGGESTIONS?

Ok this is from last week that I wrote down to submit after the blog was up and running. I am not even going to talk about yesterday and PF Changs.
2/12 1 yogurt, 2 hot chocolates, 1 slice of key lime pie, 3 sweet pork enchiladas, 1 sugar free energy drink(which was very nasty), 2 more sweet pork enchiladas, 2 slices of bread and spagetti(sp) with meat sauce and carrots. My exercise for the day was walking down the 7 flights of stairs to get the energy dring and then walking back up.

Happy Presidents Day!!
Well the day started off GREAT. I finally made it to the gym!!! I got there at 8:00 this morning, Man I wish I could do that everyday.
I did 30 minutes on the bike=330 calories burned, then 15 minutes on the treadmill=81 callories burned. Got home had a yogurt and some cheerios for breakfast.
Then things went downhill. On the way to the zoo, had a Wendys chicken sandwich and a cup of mandorin oranges. Some cheese crackers. Walked around the zoo for about 2 hours then we went to PF Changs. Do i really have to list EVERYTHING I ate there? At home had a handfull of melting chocolates, some chocolate frosting, another bowl of cheerios, and a swig of Juicy Juice.
Well at least I got to the gym, I really really really want to go tomarrow, I am just so tired by the time Terry gts home. Cross your fingers for me.

I AM the biggest winner!!!!
Well maybe not yet :( Today I ate gummy bears, chips, and rice krispies and skipped lunch. This maybe a bad start to the blog but it is the TRUTH!!!! Better luck to me tomorrow I plan to go to the gym and eat better. I did eat breakfast and will be eating dinner, so yeah to that.- JoAnna
